Getting Started

Theme Options

Once you have activated your theme you should take a few minutes to read over and configure the theme options page. Click   FameTheme in left menu to load the options page.

Custom Widgets

The theme comes with unique custom widgets that can be used to configure how your site displays content – they can be found under  Appearance > Widgets.

Custom 200 x 125 Ads Widget
This widget allows you to configure and display up-to 6 200 x 125 banner advertisements.

  • Title – Title of the widget
  • Ad image url – The URL of your banner image e.g. http://example.com/image.jpg
  • Ad link url – The destination URL of your banner ad e.g. http://example.com/
  • Randomize – Check this box to display the Ad banners in a random order on each page load.

Custom Flickr Widget
This widget allows you to configure and display Flickr photos from a user’s photo-stream.

  • Title – Title of the widget
  • Flickr ID – The Flickr ID of the group or user’s photos you wish to display. You can find your Flickr ID at idGettr.com.
  • Number of Photos – Choose the number of photos the widget will display.

Custom Recent Posts Widget
This widget allows you to show your latest blog posts in widgetised areas.

  • Title – Title of the widget
  • Filter by Category – Choose a category for filtering.
  • Number of posts – Input the number of recent posts to display.

Custom Popular Posts Widget
This widget allows you to show your popular blog posts in widgetised areas.

  • Title – Title of the widget
  • Number of posts – Input the number of popular posts to display.

Custom Newsletter Widget

This widget allows you display a newsletter sign-up form – the widget has options to configure the title and add a description. The widget is handled configured via theme options and handled by feedburner and email marketing services as: Aweber, Mailchimp, Feedburner…

Page Templates

Archives Template
The theme comes packed with a simple archives template. To create your archives, simply create a page using the “Archives” page template. The archive lists will automatically display below any page content. Lists include the last 30 posts, archives by month and archives by subject.

Full Width Template
The Full Width template allows the creation of a page without a sidebar. The main content will span the full width of the site. To use the template, simply create a page using the “Full Width” page template.
